Our journey began with a calling

Hi, I’m Pastor Shannon, and I have had a heart for ministry for as long as I can remember. I have been a Christian all my life and grew up in the church, with my parents serving faithfully as leaders. Because of that, ministry has always been a part of my life, my home, and my heart.

I have served in Children’s Ministry for over 18 years, and I truly love serving God with everything in me. My desire in all I do is simple: to help bring people closer to God.

I have been married for almost 18 years to my husband, and I am deeply in love with him. We have known each other since we were eight years old, and I am so thankful for the life God has allowed us to build together. We are blessed with two beautiful daughters, and as a family, we love serving God together.

As I have raised my own children, and as I look at the world we are living in today, I can see more than ever how important it is for families to be rooted in Christ. Being in Children’s Ministry has become such a part of who I am. It has opened my eyes to the need for the church and the home to come together — to unite, encourage, and build strong foundations of faith in the next generation.

The Faith Lab with Pastor Shannon

The Faith Lab with Pastor Shannon is a place where faith comes alive. My heart is to help children and families understand God’s Word in a way that is real, simple, powerful, and life-changing.

Through Bible lessons, object lessons, creative teaching, family conversations, and faith-filled resources, my desire is to help kids not just hear about God, but know Him personally. I want children to understand that they are not too young to serve God, hear His voice, worship Him, pray, and walk in purpose.

I believe children are not just the church of tomorrow — they are the church of today. Their faith matters now. Their questions matter now. Their worship matters now. Their relationship with Jesus matters now.

One of the scriptures that has guided so much of my life and ministry is:

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6

This has truly been a life scripture for me. It reminds me that what we plant in children matters. What we teach them matters. What they see in our homes, our churches, and our lives matters.

Faith at the Table

Over the last three and a half to four years, God has placed a vision on my heart for Faith at the Table. This is a ministry centered on bringing families back together, helping homes become rooted in Christ, and encouraging parents to grow closer to God with their children.

I believe discipleship does not only happen inside the church building. It starts in the home. It starts around everyday conversations. It starts around the dinner table. It starts when parents take time to talk with their children, pray with them, read Scripture with them, and invite God into the middle of real life.

The Bible says:

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
Psalm 119:11

That scripture is so important to me because I believe God’s Word needs to be planted deep in our hearts and in the hearts of our children. Scripture memorization is not just something we do for a prize or a lesson — it becomes strength when life gets hard. It becomes truth when the world is loud. It becomes direction when we do not know what to do.

Faith at the Table is about helping families create moments where God’s Word is spoken, remembered, and lived out. It is about parents and children sitting together, talking about Scripture, asking questions, praying, and building a foundation that will last.

The Bible also reminds us:

“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:7

That is the heart of Faith at the Table — faith in the everyday moments.

My Heart and Testimony

Recently, I have walked through a season of sickness, and for the last three years, I have faced battles I never expected. But even in the hardest moments, God has been faithful.

There were times when all I could do was be weak — but I was reminded that His strength is made perfect in my weakness. When I did not have the strength on my own, God carried me.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

Through this season, I believe God has been showing me that He has called me to something more. I still love serving the church, but I truly believe God has placed it on my heart to go beyond serving in one place. My desire is to partner with churches, encourage leaders, train Children’s Ministry teams, support parents, and help families become more rooted in Christ.

I want to be a resource for churches. I want to help Children’s Ministries grow. I want to come alongside leaders who may have questions, need encouragement, or are looking for practical ways to build a stronger ministry. My heart is not to replace what God is already doing in churches, but to partner, encourage, equip, and help bring everything together.

My prayer is that through The Faith Lab with Pastor Shannon and Faith at the Table, children, parents, families, leaders, and churches would be drawn closer to Jesus.

This is more than a ministry idea to me. It is something I believe God has placed deeply in my heart. My desire is to walk in obedience, serve with love, and help families and churches grow stronger in Christ — one child, one family, one church, and one table at a time.

"Faith Lab with Shannon creates an environment where kids don’t just hear God’s Word… they see it, experience it, and remember it."
